Lulu A. Kamatoy
Mrs. Lulu Kamatoy was born in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines. She obtained her BA degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines – majoring in English. Subsequently she went to England and obtained a Specialization Certificate in Speech and Drama from Rose Bruford College in Kent and then came to the United States in 1966 to attend graduate school at New York University where she obtained her M.A. degree in Educational Theater.
Mrs. Kamatoy’s professional life encompasses a rich eclectic background of entrepreneurship in owner-owned retail and advertising agency businesses, teaching in the field of theater arts and executive management at the corporate level. Until 2019 she served as the President/CEO of Valley Women Center, Canoga Park, CA – a non-profit organization providing outpatient counseling services to women for drug & alcohol abuse, marriage & family problems, domestic violence, mental health issues and other threats to family stability – hence her interest in PACE Universal. Her dream is to duplicate the PACE Learning Center model in the country of her birth.
Mrs. Kamatoy is an active Rotarian having served the organization as Club President and Club International Services Chair and the Rotary District as an Assistant Governor. She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Valley Cultural Center and the Girl Scouts of the San Fernando Valley. She is the winner of many awards including the Paul Harris Award and Rotarian-of-the-Year from Rotary International and has been cited in Who’s Who of the Midwest, Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who of America. She is an active member of the Chambers of Commerce of the cities of Encino and Woodland hills -Tarzana.
