A no studies-all play day was gifted to the PLC girls as the teachers organized a Children’s Day Party at the school with great enthusiasm on the 13th of November. Though across the world, Children’s Day is celebrated on the 20th of November, in India it is celebrated on the 14th of November which is the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, independent India’s first Prime Minister, as a tribute to his love for children and commitment to the welfare of children. The school’s courtyard was lit up with smiles and cheers as the Nursery and Kindergarten kids took part in fun games like passing the parcel and basket the ball and won chocolates and candies as prizes. A special lunch was followed by a movie show which kept the students enthralled for one and half hours. It was day of great fun and was enjoyed thoroughly by the students and the teachers alike.
